On Thursday of Week 2 the Year 8 cohort were treated to a presentation from gun Beach Volleyballer, Solly Bushby.

Solly immediately engaged the Year 8s with his height (206cm!) and enthusiasm. He shared some personal challenges and setbacks in his career and how these events inspired him to become a better athlete and person. Solly shared strategies to face the unknown, whilst also reminding students that hard work and consistency will always pay off, whether it be at school, sport or life in general.

The Year 8s had some great questions such as ‘who is your arch rival?’ and ‘how many countries have you been to?’
