YEAR 7 SUCCESS DAY
Dallas Michallaney:
On Monday, I went on Success Day with my peers. At 10:30 we arrived at Subway in Adelaide for an early lunch. After ordering our subs and drinks we went back on the bus to the Adelaide Tree Climb. When we arrived, I was helped into my harness. I then put my helmet on and we started the practice. After we finished that I had a head start on level 2 with Brock. I finished level after level slowly. Each level was harder than the next. Although it was difficult and scary on some activities I had a lot of fun getting past each obstacle.
Taylor Harkness:
I enjoyed the zipline because you got to just sit there and look around. I was a bit nervous but I overcame my fear of heights. I recommend giving it a try if you are afraid of heights because your fear of heights will go away. I do but also don’t want to go back.
Aliyse Lomman:
On Monday the 4th I made the success day. We went to the tree climb. My favourite part was climbing the trees. I stayed with Brianna, Tahlia and Ruby we had a lot of fun.
Ned Robertson:
It was fun on the way there, my friends and I were playing Uno, Boplet. The tree climb was fun because of the zip lines. I was not scared at all even when I went fast.
Caitlyn Cox:
Monday of Week 8, students who had been showing the elements of PRIDE, were taken to Tree Climb, Adelaide, for Success Day. First we stopped at Subway for a delicious lunch with a few entertaining events, then heading off to Tree Climb with a few more interesting events on the bus ride. When we reached the Tree Climb, we were addressed by the staff on applying our harnesses and helmets, then going off to complete the courses. I stayed with my group of friends during the courses, taking the lead since having experience and being able to clear the obstacles breezily. Zip-lining was one of my favourite activities, although Issy got stuck on the first zip-line, however didn’t cause much delay time wise and was quite amusing. Out of two hours, we were able to complete four courses, then being able to buy some snacks in the kiosk before heading back to school.
Jasper Hughes:
My experiences at the Adelaide tree climb was awesome! We got to zipline and climb and all that was very fun and we also got Subway and I got a chocy milk, Ben and Jerry’s ice cream and a biscuit. It was also extremely hot but we still had fun and some of us felt sick but it was worth it.
