AG NEWS
Last Friday was the 2023 Copper Coast Show Schools Livestock Expo. This year they had a record number of schools with over 110 students registered to compete. Our students give up most lunch times to come over and work their animal and they had fabulous results:
STEERS
Kiara Cowan, Ryan March, Charlotte Hodgetts and Abbey Bigg all placed 4th in their Junior Handler class
SHEEP
- Alexa Young 1st in Junior Handler heat, qualified for the final
- Angus Lemon qualified for Junior handler final and Junior Judging final
GOATS
- Best Pen of 3 Presented on Hoof (Bowtie, Canneloni and Orzo)
- 1st Overall Goat (Bowtie with Holly Bauman and Charli Dall)
- 2nd Overall Goat (Orzo with Dallas Michalanney and Daniel Simmie)
- 4th Overall Goat (Canneloni with Isabella Kisbee and Dallas Michalanney)
- Rylan Broadbent and Brianna Young were selected for the handler final
All goats placed in their heats:
- Cannelloni-Isabella Kisbee and Dallas Michalanney -1st in heat
- Bowtie-Holly Bauman and Charli Dall - 1st in heat
- Orzo-Dallas Michalanney and Daniel Simmie
- Bucatini-Kalirose Simmie -4th in heat
- Ravioli -Riley Stuart - 4th in heat
- Rigatoni- Brianna Young
Best Presented School - 1st Place
A huge achievement for these students with this event being their first taste at showing! Thanks to Miss Crighton for preparing our students and their four legged companions.
