Reconciliation Event
On the 5th of August BCCC, BPS and BHS joined together for the 2019 Reconciliation Event called ‘Let’s Learn, Share, Grow’. As the name suggests the day involved learning about the history of Aboriginal people, sharing new and old stories and skills, and growing as a community in pursuit of the reconciliation agenda.
Jasmine Barden and James Wanganeen provided us with a special Welcome to Country. James stayed to play the didgeridoo for the younger students. Talk-kin-Jeri demonstrated a variety of traditional dances which was much appreciated by all.
A massive thank you the students who helped face paint, the World Challenge team for cooking the BBQ, and a special thank you to Ryan Bernhardt who was our musical talent for the day.
