In Term Two 8PG1 participated in the Cows Create Careers program. For three weeks, teams of students cared for two calves from the Zweck family's dairy farm at Blyth and built their understanding of calf health, the dairy industry and potential careers in dairy. To conclude the program, they attended the presentation day at Kapunda on June 26th with students from 13 other schools. Team TECK - Kashaya Carpenter, Ella Standley, Tamzyn Dos Santos and Casey Pratt were the winning Junior team for the Mid-North and Barossa region with an amazing score of 96.5% for their assessment work. Maddison Poole was recognised with a nomination in the Jeff Kernich Encouragement Award which acknowledged her enthusiasm and dedication to the care of the calves, including volunteering to feed on the weekends.
